His Concerto for 2 Groups was also broadcast on German radio.
Since returning to South Korea in 2005, Lee has composed for opera, the concert hall, film, music theatre, and dance, collaborating with artists across disciplines. His opera 1953 was selected for the Korea Arts Council’s New Opera of the Year program in 2018, and his later works include the opera Jeom-rye and Young-ja (2021). He has also published books on film music, opera, and art song, alongside his work as a composition educator.
